The Key Laboratory of Nucleic Acid Chemistry and Nanomedicine of Shanghai was established in November 2019. With nucleic acid molecules as the research core, the laboratory integrates the strengths and technology platforms of chemistry, biology, medicine and other related disciplines, focusing on nucleic acid chemistry and molecular probes, nucleic acid self-assembly and molecular networks, new nucleic acid molecular diagnosis methods, and nucleic acid nanomedical research directions. Since its establishment, the laboratory has published more than 300 papers, including Nature, Science, Nature Nanotechnol, etc., and has been supported by a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. Major breakthroughs have been made in the scientific discovery and basic theory of nucleic acid chemistry and molecular probes, nucleic acid self-assembly and molecular networks, new methods of nucleic acid molecular diagnosis, and nucleic acid nanomaterials. Put forward new theories and concepts with international influence, develop new methods, new materials, new drugs and new instruments with wide application value, lay a scientific foundation and provide technical support for the effective prevention, early diagnosis and precision treatment of major diseases, and help Shanghai realize precision medicine and smart medicine as soon as possible.
